::things that make humpday LOVELY::

I haven't posted for an entire week, and I've been experiencing withdrawal symptoms badly. We have been on a literal rollercoaster ride the last week with househunting, after the one we had picked fell through. There have been several other heart-stealers and one or two of them I might have gotten attached to. But last night, we stepped into the one.

Just so you know what sorts we've been looking at, we were after a cheap something that could be glorious with work. Some needed a bit and some needed 52 weekends of hard labour plus new kitchens, bathrooms and perhaps all the weatherboards sanded and repainted as well. We could have done it. Maybe... Or maybe we would have just been plain fed-up after getting facefulls of wallpaper and ripping up square orange old tiles.

This place don't need nothing but new carpet. And a crazy lady with pretty big decor plans. I believe I can provide both.

So we both went crazy when we saw that the kitchen/bathroom was already new, polished floors and that it had a study as well as the 3 bedrooms. Not to mention a nicely fenced backyard for Jason's pending Basset Hound. We promptly made an offer.

Within half an hour we got the call back that it was ours.

Yabadabadooooooooooo!!!!!!

 Those are just a few piccies I snapped with Jason's mobile phone. I have a feeling there will be some before-and-afters to come this year....

  2. Thanks Jenny!

    Bron - we are so excited. And scared. Mostly about having to change our address on everything. And transferring power/water/phone. I know it's petty, but it's just such a bother! We're in Ballarat, Vic. Very affordable and [I think] classy place. :) Only an hour from Melbourne.

    1. God is so good. We have a 60 day settlement but the place is empty so we can get in earlier by mutual agreement. But I think I need 60 days to get my head around it all!
